Rock the Casbah With These Morockin’ Styles

Jet-setting fashion icon Talitha Getty was the inspiration for a lot of collections this fall. It started with Gucci’s, and her bohemian chic legacy will roll on well into next spring.

After marrying oil heir John Paul Getty, the Dutch-born beauty lived fast, dressed to thrill, bewitched the likes of Rudolph Nureyev and ultimately died young of an overdose in 1971.

One of the most enduring photos of the young couple was taken on the roof of their Marrakesh abode, The Pleasure Palace, with John Paul in a caftan and Talitha resplendent in an embroidered coat, white boots and harem pants.

This fall has more fur hats, boots, vests, peasant dresses, embroidery, suede, knuckle duster rings, belts, beads and baggy pants than even Rachel Zoe could handle.
