Page 1 of 1 At the 2002 Geneva Motorshow a concept supercar was launched originating from a country not immediately associated with supercars, Morocco. Laraki, named after its founder Laraki Abdeslam, was back in 2003 with a production version of the Fulgura concept.
New for the production Fulgura version is completely in-house designed aluminium chassis; the concept was based on a Lamborghini Diablo chassis. The Diablo driveline has been replaced by a Mercedes-Benz V8, mated to a state-of-the-art sequential six speed gearbox. This gearbox combined with the 600 bhp produced by the supercharged engine, allows for lightning quick acceleration.
The exterior design is a mixture of sharp and smooth lines. Fully moulded in carbon fibre the elegant body adds very little to the overall weight of the Fulgura. For the interior Laraki have opted for a simple but elegant dashboard and the excessive use of leather gives it classy feel.
Production is planned to commence in Casablanca around November 2003. Page 1 of 1
