MSP-FET Flash Emulation Tool Not working

We are using MSP-FET Flash Emulation Tool for development, while programming we facing following issue.

Error initializing emulator:
A firmware update is required for the MSP430 Debug Interface (MSP-FET430UIF / MSP-FET / eZ-FET). Click the "Update" button to update the firmware and launch your debug session (this may require several update steps).

DO NOT UNPLUG THE INTERFACE DURING THE UPDATE.

And after selecting update button it showing updating firmware message but after that again above error gets repeated.and if we select ignore button

"Error connecting to the target:Unknown device" this message is showing..

How can we load our firmware in controller.

Hello Vyankatesh,

What version of the MSP-FET are you using?
Also, what is the target device and what version of Code Composer Studio?

Ok, I forgot to ask you if the debugger has worked in the past and now it is not, or if it has never worked.

It may need a "cold boot" procedure. Refer to this E2E posting and see if that helps.

See section 5.6.5.3 in the SLAU647 document.

We tried process of "cold boot" but our issue is not resolved. still it gives same error.

Ok,

Is this MSP-FET new, or have you had it for some time?
Where did you originally purchase the MSP-FET?
Or do you not know where it came from?

Thank you sir for your replay, I had purchased it from a website name Mouser .

MOUSER Item Description-MSP-FET,595-MSP-FET.Mouser P/N.595-MSP-FET Emulators/Simulators.Emulation Tool replaces MSP-FET 430UIF, Make-Texas Instruments.

purchase Date-07-02-2018

Hi Vyankatesh,

I spoke with our development tools team and they are indicating that since this was purchased through a distributor (Mouser), you should contact Mouser to get a replacement unit. You shouldn't have any trouble, but let me know if you do.
