This hard drive was bought as a replacement for my stock ps3 hdd (same as other reviewer here) i just wanted to leave a small review as sonys recent 4:46 firmware update (which was downloaded through the ps3) actually corrupted my stock hdd which then became unusable :(

However after reading through other people's same problems on the net i decided to buy this Hitachi hdd to at least be able to get my ps3 working again and to play GTA5 (my advice to anyone who has not yet updated their ps3 to version 4:46 is to make sure that you download it off a pc or laptop to a flash drive and then install) otherwise your ps3 hdd could become corrupted.

As the other reviewer has said the Hitachi hdd listed here is fine as a replacement and i had no trouble getting it to boot up once installed so good news i can now play GTA5 until ps4 arrives.
